    • Fred was the first full time police officer in West Brookfield serving from 1965 to 1976.
      Fred and Barbara were married at the First Congregational Church, followed by a reception at the home of the Barbara's mother. Barbars's Uncle Ernest Smith gave her away. Howard Cutler was best man, and Betty Nopa was matron of honor. Charlotte Fales was the organist and Ted Ploof was the soloist.
      Both Barbara and Fred were stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia at the time of their marriage.

      Mother was Lessie Roberts.
