    • George Mundell's obituary states that he was the oldest member of the GAR in the department of Massachusetts. He was living in Brattleboro, VT at the beginning of the Civil War, and enlisted in 1862. Three sons also fought in the war. One was killed. [John - in the battle of the Wilderness?]
