    • At the time fof his marriage to Edna May Allen, Arthur was pastor of the Methodist Churches in West Brookfield and Warren, MA.
      An article from the Springfield Daily News indicates that on Jan. 19, 1920 Nettie Allen closed her school on Milk St., and went to Orange, MA where Rev. Nelson was suffering from Ptomaine poisoning.
      He died within 10 days of that event. On January 28th the West Brookfield Farmer's Club appointed a committee to draw up a resolution on the death of Rev. Arthur Nelson of Orange. His body was brought to West Brookfield for burial on Jan. 30th.

      Arthur William LeRoy Nelson, of 102 So. Main St., Orange, MA, died at home on January 28, 1920 of Toxemia following ptomaine poisoning probably from fish after an illness of 18 days. He was a married, Clergyman, age 63y 1m 9d, born 19 Dec 1856 in Manchester, NH, son of Charles Nelson, born Corinth, Vt, and Jane Mowe, born Dover, Maine. Informant was wife Edna M. Nelson. Burial was in West Brookfield, MA on 30 Jan. 1920.
